PURPOSE:To obtain the title sheet-like product durable to physical operation like after-treatment, small in its dimensional change due to laundering, etc., by imparting a nonwoven fabric where the constituent fibers intertwined stereoscopically with a silicone-modified elastomer to effect mutual adhesion of said constituent fibers. CONSTITUTION:A nonwoven fabric where ultrafine fibers such as of polyamide or polyester <=0.5 denier in fineness are stereoscopically intertwined (so as to be 0.40-0.70g/cm<3> in the density) is imparted with <=15wt.%, based on the fiber weight of said nonwoven fabric, of an elastomer modified with pref. a reactive crosslinkable aqueous emulsion-type silicon (a copolymer like polyurethane 30-70wt.% in silicone content in terms of dimethylsiloxane) to effect mutual adhesion or immobilization of the constituent ultrafine fibers, thus obtaining the objective sheet-like material. |
