PURPOSE:To minimize recording steps and save heat energy. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic wave of a wavelength band which causes the color development capability of a yellow thermal color development layer to disappear, is used, and the strength of this electromagnetic wave is controlled in accordance with a developed color density to record a yellow image optically in the yellow thermal color development layer. Next, a magenta image is recorded optically in a magenta thermal color development layer using an electromagnetic line peculiar to the magneta thermal color development layer. Finally, a cyan image is thermally recorded in a cyan thermal color development layer using a thermal head. The yellow thermal color development layer and the magenta thermal color development layer are thermally developed using a thermal energy for thermal recording. |
