摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling efficiency for each heat generating part in an arrangement, in which wind from a blower is supplied to the heat generating parts of a car for cooling them, by varying the wind quantity from the blower in accordance with the car running condition. CONSTITUTION:In a cooling device of an electric locomotive etc., in which main motors (M) 2 as heat generating parts with forced ventilation are grouped into a first group 2A consisting of M1-M3 and a second group 2B consisting of M4-M6, a single blower 1 is equipped and connected with the main motors 2 through ducts 3, and thereby main cooling device 2 is cooled by the wind from the blower 1. A first and second wind quantity adjusting valves 4A, 4B with variable wind quantity are interposed between the first and second groups 2A, 2B of main motors 2 and the blower 1. The main motors 2 can be cooled effectively by adjusting the degree of opening of each wind quantity adjusting valve 4A, 4B in accordance with the car running condition, i.e. the supply current incremental or decremental condition to the main motors 2.
