[Also in Division B5] A block of ice cream any slice of which comprises layers which each contain at least two differently flavoured or coloured ice creams is made in apparatus which includes two adjacent chambers to which the differing ice creams are fed and from which the ice creams pass to a dispensing unit vit a series of vertical tubes 66, 68 arranged in columns and rows of which any two adjacent tubes contain differing ice creams. A horizontally apertured plate 92 extends across the bottom of the tubes so that relative movement between the tubes and the apertured plate as the ice cream is being dispensed results in the block having a checker board pattern of different ice creams. The pattern can be varied by varying the frequency of relative reciprocation. |
