In an sheet finishing apparatus (200) for receiving a sheet (P) on which an image has been formed by an image forming apparatus (100), and for ejecting the sheet (P) after a front side thereof is reversed, the sheet finishing apparatus (200) includes: a sheet conveyor (203) for conveying the sheet (P) fed from the image forming apparatus (100) downstream; a sheet reversing device (201) for receiving the sheet (P) conveyed by the sheet conveyor (203), and for reversing the front side of the sheet (P) by rotation; a sheet holder (400,401) provided on a peripheral portion of the sheet reversing device (201) for holding a leading edge portion of the sheet (P) conveyed by the sheet conveyor (203), the sheet holder (400,401) capable of being opened or closed; a sheet stopper (204) for blocking the leading edge portion of the sheet (P) to be stopped at a position where the front side of the sheet (P) is reversed by a rotation of the sheet reversing device (201); and a sheet stacking member (302) for stacking the sheet (P) separated from the sheet reversing device (201) by a further rotation of the reversing device (201) after the leading edge of the sheet (P) is blocked by the sheet stopper (204). <IMAGE>
