A shelf 2 or partition wall is secured to a cabinet wall 1 by a two part device comprising an elongate support 6 received in a recess 18 in the shelf end, the support 6 having a threaded end spigot 8 screwed into a socket 5 in the wall 1, and a clamping element 25 rotatably received in a blind bore 21 in the upper face of the shelf 2, the clamping element 25 having a first cam surface defined by an eccentric bore 27 extending from one end of the element 25 and a second cam surface defined by an oblique slot 32 in the wall 29 of the element 25, the arrangement being such that on rotation of the clamping element 25 the cam surfaces engage respective surfaces 16, 17 on a hooked projection 31 on the support 6 to draw the shelf 2 laterally towards the cabinet wall 1 and downwardly on to the support 6. A screwdriver slot 33 is provided in a closed end of the clamping element 25. |
