The invention refers to an elastic bearing bracket with dry friction damping designed to reduce transverse vibrations from fast rotating machine rotors. According to the invention, the bearing bracket is made up of an inner cylinder (1) which holds the bushing, bearings or support bearings of a rotor shaft, as well as an outer cylinder (3), fixed to the inner cylinder (1) and connected to the machine casing by means of some elastic rods (4) arranged in a shape known as a squirrel's cage.
