The invention concerns an ascending filtration device for waste water comprising an immersed bed (1) supported by a deck (2), the bed (1) consisting of a plurality of tiered up layers of granular materials seeded with a biomass, means for supplying (4) water to be treated and/or for washing and means for supplying (5) air (or any other oxygenated gas) for treating and/or washing into a lower chamber (6) provided beneath the deck (2), means for draining (7) treated water, and means for backwashing (8) the filtering bed with a backwashing liquid. The invention is characterised in that the deck (2) is equipped with nozzles (9) of a single type enabling the passage, along an upflow, of the water to be treated, the washing water, the treating and/or washing oxygenated gas, as well as the countercurrent passage of the backwashing liquid, the nozzles (9) having a stem (10) joint-welded in the lower chamber (6) provided with a lower opening for the passage of water and at least two openings (11, 12) for the passage of air and a head (13) with openings (14) for the passage of fluids each having a surface ranging between 10<-4> m<2> and 1.5 . 10<-3> m<2>. |
