PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing take-up device that is able to convert the deformative force of an energy absorbing member in time of a webbing drawing motion, into the specified one. SOLUTION: A spool 64 for winding a seat belt webbing 66 is rotatably supported on two leg pieces 60 and 62. Likewise, a turning member 72 is rotatably supported on these leg pieces 60 and 62 so as to make it come to be relatively rotatable with the spool 64. An energy absorbing member 114 set up in space between the spool 64 and these leg pieces 60, 62 is plastically deformed by what the spool 64 and the leg pieces 60, 62 are relatively rotated, whereby it makes the webbing 66 rolled on the spool 64 so as to be drawable as absorbing the energy. In addition, a control constituent part altering and adjusting the deformative force is installed in a specified part of the energy absorbing member 114, making a transition in this deformative force controllable so as to make it come to the required pattern. |
