PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a protection of a steering mechanism of front wheels containing support parts of a handle shaft part and a suspension mechanism of the front wheels by a method wherein the front of a body frame is bent upward to provide an erecting part to be erected almost at the right angle while the steering mechanism of the front wheels containing the support parts of the handle shaft part and a suspension mechanism of the front wheels are arranged behind the erecting part. SOLUTION: This wheel chair is provided with two front wheels 2 composing a steering wheel and two rear wheels 3 composing drive wheels. A single seat 7 is arranged almost at the center position across the width of the body thereof, a flat floor is provided below the seat 7 between a steering handle 9 of the front wheels and the seat 7 and a motor 43 for diving rear wheels and a battery 41 are arranged thereon. In this case, a body frame 11 is made up of a pipe material in which right and left frame parts 12 extending in the longitudinal direction of the body is integrated with a bridge part for linking front end parts of the right and left frame parts 12, the front part of the body frame 11 is bent upward to provide an erecting part 17 to be erected almost at the right angle and a steering mechanism 34 of the front wheels 2 containing support parts 21 and 22 of a handle shaft part or the like and a suspension mechanism 33 of the front wheels are arranged behind the erecting part 17.
