PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a molded article, which has a desired sectional shape and the surface of which is smooth, by a method wherein the slit sectional shape of a profile mold is set to be smaller than the sectional shape of a final molded article and, at covering, the maximum covering thickness to a quenched article is set to be within a specified dimension. SOLUTION: Melted crystalline polyolefin resin is continuously extruded from a profile mold 2 mounted onto an extruder 1. An article extruded from the profile mold 2 is introduced in a first water tank 3 and quenched. As a quenching means, any means, which can quench the surface of the article down to the temperature below the melting point of the crystalline polyolefin resin, will do. The quenched article 5 is passed through a covering mold 5, to which a melted crystalline polyolefin resin is fed from an extruder 4 for covering the surface of the quenched article. The maximum covering thickness for covering is set to be within 3 mm. In order to satisfy the condition just mentioned above, the slit sectional shaft of the profile mold 2 at a profile extrusion is prepared. |
