PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display images in real time and reduce fixed pattern noises because of a leak current of a switching element, by setting a synchronization-adjusting means and adjusting synchronization of an image pickup timing of an image pickup means and a display timing of a display means. SOLUTION: A synchronization-adjusting circuit 6 comprises a frequency divider and a signal generation circuit. The frequency divider divides a frequency of a master clock and generates clocks corresponding to an image pickup device 1 and a display device 2. The signal generation circuit generates a start signal, an enable signal as control signals for the image pickup device 1, scan line-driving signals CPV, STV by the clock and a signal SYNC. The signal generation circuit generates a start signal, an enable signal as control signals for the display device 2 from the clock and signal SYNC. An image signal without a vertical synchronization period which is read out from the image pickup device 1 can be converted by these signals to an image signal with the vertical synchronization period that can be displayed at the display device 2.
