摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and an apparatus in which the lubricating characteristic of a molten lubricant (a molten substance) as well as the friction and wear characteristic of a casting mold material can be evaluated by a method wherein the molten substance is injected between the outer circumference of a heated rotating cylinder and the contact face of a block and the rotational- speed waveform of the rotating cylinder is controlled. SOLUTION: A rotating cylinder 16 is turned by a servomotor 18, and a block 11 is pressed to the outer circumferential face of the rotating cylinder 16 by a cylinder 9. A molten substance 27p which is melted by a melting furnace 29 and whose temperature is 800 deg.C or higher is injected continuously, via an injection pipe 31, between the rotating cylinder 16 and the contact face of the block 11. The block 11 is pressed to the rotating cylinder 16 by a pressure load P, and the rotating cylinder 16 is turned. At this time, a frictional force F is measured by a load cell 10a, and the pressure load P is measured by a load cell 10b so as to be processed by a data processor 35, and a coefficient of frictionμ= F/P is computed by a computing unit 24 so as to be recorded (or displayed) as data.
