<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining method and the laser beam controller executing this machining method capable of executing cutting with excellent efficiency by obtaining the optimal edge machining/processing section in edge machining. SOLUTION: The varying angle at the transfer direction converting point is obtained from the program path of a machining program memory 9 with a conversion angle calculating part 11, the edge machining/processing is issued to a commanding part 19 after passing the transfer direction converting point with an angle comparing/judging part 13 when the varying angle is acuter than the prescribed angle. Two points, wherein the distances from the direction converting point are equal in the program path before/after the directional conversion and the distance between two points becomes the prescribed value, are set with a point setting part 15. Above points in the program path after the directional conversion and the machining position are compared with an edge machining/processing section judging part 17, the edge machining/processing is issued to the commanding part 19 until the machining position reaches above points. A machining head LH and a laser beam oscillator LS are controlled with the commanding part 19.</p> |
