<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing having good oil holding and good comformability with oil. SOLUTION: Many fine grooves are formed in parallel in the radial direction on the inner surface of a semicylindrical bearing metal to form high projections 15 and low projections 16 along the fine grooves, whereby a rotary shaft 3 is supported by the high projections 15 and lubricating oil is held between the high projections 15. Therefore, this constitution can prevent a seizure, in particular, in a running-in operation in which a seizure is apt to be caused. Even if the wear of the high projections 15 proceeds, much lubricating oil is held between the low projections 16 to keep good resistance to seizure and resistance to wear.</p> |
