Neuropeptide Y receptor antagonists which contain as the active ingredient compounds represented by general formula (I) or salts thereof, wherein Ar represents aryl or heteroaryl; R<1> and R<2> are the same or different and each represents lower alkyl, or R<1> and R<2> may be bonded to each other to form alkylene optionally having intervening oxygen or sulfur; R<3> represents amino, lower alkyl or lower alkylamino; Y represents ethylene, trimethylene, vinylene, propenylene, -O-CH2-, -S-CH2- or -CH2-NH-.
