<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the color reproduction range of a display tube by controlling the wavelength transmittance characteristic of its raster filters. SOLUTION: A mixture of a blue raster paste with violet two by 25 to 50 wt.% for a raster filter lowers its transmission for green near 550 nm as compared with the existing blue raster filters including no violet components and reduces its green components, to thus improve the color purity of transmitted light as a blue filter. The mixture of a green raster paste with amber for a raster filter lowers its transmission for blue as compared with the existing green raster filters to thus improve the color purity as a green filter. The mixture of a red raster paste with violet one for a raster filter lowers its transmission for green as compared with the existing red raster filters to thus improve the color purity as a red filter. Those raster filters 2, 3 and 4 are used in a field emission display. The improved color purity of transmitted light of red, green and blue improves the full-color display quality of the display with light from phosphor layers 8, 9 and 10 of ZnO:Zn as the main component.</p> |
