PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a constant distance between a carrier body and a control electrode, to prevent an electric field from suddenly lowering at the outside of an electric field generated by the control electrode, to prevent the control electrode from warping, and to prevent damage of the control electrode even when an external pressure is applied thereto. SOLUTION: A control electrode 26 is constituted of an insulation substrate 30, gates 29 each of which is a passing hole for toner and ring type electrodes 27a, 27b (gate electrodes) each of which is formed around the respective gate 29. The ring type electrode 27a or 27b surrounding the gate 29 is superposed thereon. A thickness of the insulation substrate 30 is determined by being matched with a curvature of a toner carrier body 22 of an image manifesting agent supplying means. The ring type electrodes 27a corresponding to the outer half of gate groups are disposed on the surface of the insulation substrate 30 at the side of the carrier body 22 and the ring type electrodes 27a corresponding to the inner half of the gate groups are disposed on the surface of the insulation substrate 30 at the side of the opposing electrode. |
