PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor machine for an air conditioner having a rein forcing plate used as a guide for reinforcing the strength of the upper surface of an outer shell made of a gynthetic resin and holding an electrical equipment box so as to slide forward and backward. SOLUTION: A horizontal flange 3a is provided on the upper part of an electrical equipment box 3 and a rail extends from a front to a back on the lower part of the box 3. A reinforcing plate 10 made of a thin plate is provided between the upper parts of both side surfaces of a rear cover 7. The reinforcing plate 10 is provided with a guide 10a for holding the flange 3a so as to slide forward and backward. An operating valve attaching means 4 is provided with a slide piece corresponding to the rail. The electrical equipment box 3 is housed in a compressor chamber so as to be removed therefrom by the guide. At the same time, the slide piece is detachably held by the rail. The reinforcing plate 10 and the electrical equipment box 3 are provided with fixing means for fixing the electrical equipment box 3 to fix the box. The operating valve attaching meand 4 and the electrical equipment box 3 are equipped with attaching means for attaching the box 3 to attach the box. The upper surface of a front cover is reinforced by the reinforcing plate 10. |
