PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the electronic still camera with a moving image output function that is able to record a still image on a memory card or the like and provides an output of moving image information to an external controller in the case that the camera is connected to the external controller such as a PC. SOLUTION: A detection SW 15 discriminates whether or not a memory card is mounted to the camera or an external controller use connection cable 16 is connected, and an output of a process processing output circuit 17 is connected to a moving image signal processing circuit 19 when the external controller use connection cable 16 is connected. Then data or a compression image signal of R, G, B in a conventional image file format are fed to a card slot 11 via a card interface circuit 10 and parallel data are outputted as a digital moving image output to a conventional interface circuit of an external controller 13 through an interconnection cable 16. |
