PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure tension with high measuring accuracy by obtaining the tension from reading displacement of an object when fixed couple of force is added to a pair of hooks, as rotational displacement of the other hook at setting one hook to be the rotational center. SOLUTION: Hooks 13-1, 13-2 as tension measuring tools are set on the back side and the surface side of a wire rope 31 applied by tension. Next by pulling a handle 22 in the arrow mark direction, a plate spring 21 is bent, and by positioning the scale 24 previously provided on a gauge 23 for a handle load so as to be pointed by a pointer for adding load, for example, fixed couple of force of about 120kg.cm as output torque can be impressed between the hook 13-1 and the hook 13-2. At setting the one hook 13-2 to be the rotational center, rotational displacementθof the other hook 13-1 can be obtained, displacement is generated between the wire rope 31 and a gauge mark 25 in proportion to the rotational displacementθ, and the tension can be obtained from this displacement by a measuring part 15.
