PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect privacy of a possessor in the case of voice output of a memory dial registered in a portable telephone set in the hand-free telephone system for a mobile body. SOLUTION: With a portable telephone set 100 set to a cradle 200, a microcomputer 22 in the cradle reads a memory number and its telephone number stored in advance in the portable telephone set 100. The user uses a microphone 36 to enter a name of a dial destination to each memory number and stores it to a recording and reproducing circuit 26. When the user operates an operation switch 38 to select any of memory numbers, the microcomputer 22 reads aloud the memory number, the registered call destination (name) and the telephone number in voice, and in the case that the telephone number read from the portable telephone set 100 and the telephone number at registration of the name does not match with each other, reading aloud of the destination (name) in voice is inhibited. Thus, even when the portable telephone set 100 of other party is set on the cradle, its call destination is not outputted in voice.
