摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device and the control method capable of highly accurate coordinate detection by detecting vibration at a stable signal level. SOLUTION: Vibration sensors 6a-6d detect the vibration impressed from a vibration input pen 5 to a vibration transmission plate 8. Also, a vibrator driving circuit 3 can change the vibration output level of the vibration input pen 5 by a specified driving level. An arithmetic control circuit 1 drives the vibration input pen 5 at a prescribed driving level, calculates the impressed position of the vibration by detecting it by the vibration sensors and decides the driving levels corresponding to the respective vibration sensors based on the obtained impressed position and distances to the respective vibration sensors. Further, the arithmetic control circuit 1 successively adopts the decided driving levels, drives the vibration input pen, successively detects them by the corresponding vibration sensors, calculates the impressed position of the vibration and defines it as a detected coordinate position.</p>
