PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove dust and the like adhering to the inside of a suction grill and prevent the dust and the like from falling on a heat exchanger by providing a vertical rib on the peripheral brim of an inserting end of an air filter installed between the heat exchanger and the suction grill in an arcuate form. SOLUTION: An air filter 1 which is mounted on an air conditioner is provided with notches 2, 3 at two positions located at left and right sides of a lower frame thereof. The air filter 1 is also provided with a grip 4 between these notches 2, 3. On the peripheral brim of the front portion of the air filter 1 which is inserted into a front panel, a vertical rib 5 is mounted. Due to such a construction, even when an operator grasps the grip 4 and pulls the air filter 1 downwardly to remove the air filter 1, dust and dirt are prevented from falling in a rearward direction. In addition, this rib 5 enables a removal of dust and dirt adhering to a grating inside a suction grill located above and the dust and dirt are collected on the upper surface of the air filter 1. |
