PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a surface light source device lighter in weight and thinner and to enhance the efficiency of optical coupling. SOLUTION: Two transparent films 22 made of a resin are bonded together via light guiding resin layers 24, 25, and a light emitting part 27 is sandwiched between the ends of the transparent films 22 and sealed and fixed by a transparent resin 32. After light emitted from the light emitting part 27 is confined within the light guiding resin layers 24, 25, it is scattered between the light guiding resin layers 24, 25 and emitted to the outside from the transparent films 22. |
