PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily form an image, even if all toner is used up, by providing an outlet opening for the toner recovered in a cleaning device and an inlet opening, through which the toner is charged to a developing device respectively, and a toner path member for communicating the outlet and inlet openings with each other. SOLUTION: On the inner side of the developer container 32 of the developing device 3, a charging port 39 exists and in the inner side surface of the cleaning device 4, an opening 45 exists. Then, these port 39 and opening 45 are connected by the toner path member 40. When a picture can not appear because the toner in the developing device 3 is depleted, a cartridge is taken out from a device main body, the shutter member of the toner path member 40 is pulled out to communicate the cleaning device 4 with the developing device 3 through the path member 40. The cartridge is turned to place the cleaning device 4 in a higher position, so that the toner recovered in the cleaning device 4 is returned to the developer container 32 of the developing device 3, to execute copying work again. |
