PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic flasher unit such that a main body head and a shading hood are easy to position and are surely attached thereto. SOLUTION: An automatic flasher unit having a photocell (c) and having a cover fitted to form a main body head 10 is so designed that a shading hood 1 which has a lighting window 2 formed in its outer peripheral wall and which is mounted on the main body head 10 can be attached to the automatic flasher unit. A projection 12 is formed on the outer periphery of the cover, a hole 6 is provided in the shading hood 1, and the hole 6 in the shading hood 1 is fitted over the projection 12 of the main body head 10 to position the photocell (c) of the main body head 10 with the lighting window 2 of the shading hood 1.
