PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioning equipment that is always capable of the same maximum capacity without being affected by a commercial power supply frequency. SOLUTION: The maximum value for each frequency (50Hz or 60Hz) of a commercial power supply 1 of a primary current that flows into a converter 5 is stored into a memory 19. A zero-cross circuit 13 detects the frequency of the commercial power supply 1 and a current detector 12 detect the primary current. A microcomputer 17 for outdoor control compares the output of a primary current detection circuit 18 with the maximum value of the primary current corresponding to the frequency of the commercial power supply 1 in the memory 19, thus controlling the maximum value of the primary current that flows into the converter 5.
