PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent soiling with toner of a transfer material electrifying means by providing an interlocking mechanism for releasing the abutting of the transfer material electrifying means, in accordance with the release of the abutting of a cleaning means for a second image carrying means. SOLUTION: A toner image receptor cleaning blade 241 as the cleaning means for the second image carrying means is provided to face a driven roller 14e across a toner image receptor 14a as the second image carrying means and can be abutted on the toner image receptor 14a or released in abutting by using a supporting shaft 242 as a rotary supporting point. The cleaning blade 241 is abutted on the toner image receptor 14a, to clean it. A leveling member 261 is linked with the toner image receptor cleaning blade, to level a toner puddle remaining on the receptor 14a, at the time of releasing the abutting of the cleaning blade 241. The leveled toner passes through the gap between a paper electrifying brush 271 and the receptor 14a. Therefore, the soiling with the toner of the paper electrifying brush 271 caused by the toner puddle remaining on the receptor 14a is prevented. |
