PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting apparatus which can accurately recognize electronic components, ranging from a small to a large size during transfer of the components and can mount the components accurately with an inexpensive arrangement. SOLUTION: A means 8 for recognizing an electronic component 2, provided below a movement path of a mounting head 7 includes a line camera 11 having one-dimensional CCD, a shutter camera 12 having a shutter function, and a means for selecting the line and shutter cameras 11 and 12 according to the size or shape of the electronic part 2. The component-recognizing means 8 photographs the electronic component 2 during movement of the head 7, recognizes the component 2 on the basis of its image data and mounts the electronic component properly. Even when the electronic component is large or small size, the component-recognizing means can accurately recognize the component 2, based on a high-resolution image while securing the high-speed movement. |
