PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share server resources and to hardly affect a client from the down of the server by filing information for each frame, temporarily preserving it in the server and reading the latest file from the servir for the client. SOLUTION: Concerning a client/server system for mutually communicating a server computer PC 10 connecting a camera 16 and an external storage device 18 with client PC 12a, 12b... through a network 14, the output image of the video camera 16 is fetched into the external storage device 18, a file name corresponding to an index is generated by compressing information and at the same time, the index is written in an index file. The client reads data of the file from the index showing the latest file from the index file into a memory, restores image data and continuously displays the images fetched by the server on a screen. |
