<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cover mechanism for an interface mechanism easy to handle, by providing an attaching part for fitting an option member to a device main body and a protective member, which is not separated from the device main body, but can be opened/closed. SOLUTION: The attaching part for fitting an option paper feeder 21 is provided above a second paper feeder. The attaching part is provided with an entrance 20 for guiding a sheet into a carrying path, a connector 17 for connecting the option feeder 21, an image forming device and a signal conductor, a gear 18 for a drive source for the option feeder and further, a blind cover 19 for covering the connector 17 and the gear 18. The blind cover 19 can be opened/closed in such a manner that it is turned around a shaft at the bottom end. When the option feeder 21 is fitted, the cover 19 is opened to expose the connector 17 and the gear 18. When the option feeder 21 is not fitted, the cover 19 is closed. Thus, it is unnecessary that the cover 19 is removed from the main body, even if the option feeder 21 is fitted, so that the cover 19 is never lost.</p> |
