<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely and easily airtightly seal the end part of a flexible conduit which is used for explosion-proof electrical wirings, etc. SOLUTION: A protective pipe 2 is attached to the end part of a flexible conduit. The protective pipe is cylindrical and has screw parts 4 and 6, which can be engaged with the attaching screw of the flexible conduit on the inner parts of both its end parts. The diameter of the screw of the screw part 4 and the diameter of the screw of the screw part 6 are different. Covers 8 and 10 which can be mated with the screw parts 4 and 6 respectively are screwed into the screw parts 4 and 6. Hexagonal bolt heads are formed on the upper surfaces of the covers 8 and 10, and packings 12 are incorporated in the root parts of the covers 8 and 10. When the protective pipe 2 is used, first the cover 8 of the one side of the protective pipe 2 is removed, and the side from which the cover 8 is removed is screwed onto the flexible conduit. The removed cover 8 is screwed into the attaching screw part of an external terminal board from which the flexible conduit is removed.</p> |
