<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make sound insulating effect excellent easily applicable to a narrow and small space and to make the manufacturing efficiency excellent by composing the member of the air-permeable amount of a specified value/sec. based on a specified pressure difference and of a compressive porous member. SOLUTION: This sound insulating member has an air-permeable amount of 1×1/10<10> to 2×1/10 deg.Vcc/cm<2> /sec. based on the pressure difference of 2.039×1/10<4> mm H2 O, preferably 1×1/10<6> to 2×1/10<2> cc/cm<2> /sec. and is composed of a compressive porous member. By this constitution, acoustic energy incident on the porous member is absorbed as vibration energy, sound being not absorbed is reflected inside the porous member, leaked to the outside is largely suppressed, an excellent sound insulating effect is exhibited, the manufacturing efficiency becomes excellent since it is composed of the compressive porous member, it is easily mounted even in a narrow and small space and interposed between various kinds of members e.g. between the main body 1 of a hard disk drive and a substrate 3.</p> |
