摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a high-quality image where pitch irregularity is perfectly corrected from starting image forming operation by controlling rotation in a state where the influence of at least either the fluctuation of the rotating speed of a photoreceptor or the fluctuation of the carrying speed of transfer paper is compensated based on stored rotation control data. SOLUTION: An arithmetic circuit 20 detects at least either the fluctuation of the rotating speed of the photoreceptor 7Y or the fluctuation of the carrying speed of the transfer paper and previously calculates the rotation control data of the driving motor 25 of a rotary polygon mirror 27 based on the detected data. Then, the calculated rotation control data is stored in a RAM 21. A control circuit 22 controls the rotation of the driving motor 25 based on the rotation control data read out from the RAM 21 when the image forming operation is performed. Therefore, the rotation of the mirror 27 is controlled in the state where the fluctuation of the rotating speed of the photoreceptor 7Y (or the fluctuation of the carrying speed of the transfer paper) is corrected in the succeeding image forming period, so that the high-quality image is formed.
