PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb the variation of constants in an S-shaped correction capacitor, even in an optional horizontal frequency by changing deflection current permitted to flow in the S-shaped correction capacitor by means of a horizontal frequency control voltage. SOLUTION: An S-shaped correction capacitor C1 is connected serially to a deflection yoke DY and a horizontal linearity correction coil LIN.COIL, and current is normally permitted to flow. The S-shaped correction capacitor C2 is connected to C1 in parallel. The horizontal frequency control voltage corresponding to the horizontal frequency is inputted to an operation amplifier Q1, and the voltage of the output terminal of the operation amplifier Q1 is supplied to the base of a transistor Q2. When the horizontal frequency is changed to be low, the output voltage of the operation amplifier Q1 is raised, the base voltage of the transistor Q2 is raised and collector current is increased. That is, deflection current flowing in the S-shaped correction capacitor C2 is increased. Thus, horizontal linearity is optimally corrected for every possible kind of horizontal frequencies. |
