PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict utilization of an illegally copied recording medium by restricting such a copied recording medium to reproducing only by equipment connected at the copying time. SOLUTION: Equipments 111-113 having recording and reproducing functions are provided with their individually different equipment code data, and at the time of recording a contents signal between these equipments, the equipment code data of all the equipments connected with the equipment for functioning as the recorder are recorded together with the contents signal on a recording medium, and the recording medium can only be reproduced by the equipment of such an equipment code data as recorded on this recording medium. |
