PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for an electric component in which the electric component such as an IC can be equally pressed. SOLUTION: A socket 11 for an electric component comprises a socket main body 13 on which an IC 12 as the electric component is placed, and a presser cover 15 rotatably installed on the socket main body, and the presser cover 15 is rotated toward the socket main body 13 to press the IC 12 placed on the socket main body 13 by a pressure member 20 provided on the presser cover 15 side, so plural terminals 12b as electrodes in the IC 12 are pressed to lands 13c as electric continuity parts provided on the socket main body 13 side, where the pressure member 20 is disposed to be movable to the presser cover 15, with a guide means provided to guide the pressure member 20 to be vertically moved to at least either of the presser cover 15 and the socket main body 13 for equally pressing respective positions of the IC 12. |
