PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make uniform the peak power or the energy level of a Q switch laser pulse train with high accuracy. SOLUTION: Arc lamp current of an arc lamp is monitored by a lamp current monitor 3 and the time integrated value of monitored arc current is determined by a Q switch control circuit 4. When the time integrated value reaches a set value a Q switch element is switched through a power supply 2 for Nd:YAG laser and a trigger pulse is outputted.
