PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member which can respond to requirements such as fast treating speed and compact size of the main body of an image forming device, and which has excellent heat resistance, flame-retardant property, wear resistance and resistance against deposition of a toner. SOLUTION: This sliding part 14 is formed in such a manner that the part 14 slides on and touches a sheet carried after an image is formed, and operates a detection switch according to the position of the sheet. This sliding part 14 is formed of a fluorocarbon resin such as tetrafluoroetylene, tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroalkylvinylether copolymer, tetrafluoroethylene- hexafluoropropylene copolymer, and tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer. The part 14 is formed of a resin compsn. prepared by adding a fiber reinforcing material to the fluorocarbon resin above described.
