PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the transmission characteristics of high quality without considering the distortion characteristics of an optical transmission section by spectrum-spreading plural electric signals respectively by spreading codes and frequency-multiplexing and transmitting them in the case of converting the electric signals into optical signals and transmitting them. SOLUTION: The electric signals inputted to input terminals 10-1 to 10-N are respectively spectrum-spread by a multiplier 19 by using the spreading codes generated by spreading code oscillators 17-1 to 17-N. The respective spectrum converted electric signals are frequency-multiplexed just by being multiplexed in a multiplexer 11. The electric signals multiplexed in the multiplexer 11 are inputted to an electric/optic converter 12, intensity-modulated and outputted to an optical fiber 13. The optical signals are transmitted to a reception side, converted into the electric signals by an optic/electric converter 14, distributed into N pieces in a distributor 15 and respectively inversely spread in a multiplier 20 by the spreading codes generated by the spreading code oscillators 18-1 to 18-N. |
