PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing electrochemical batteries of single structure which can minimize a dimensional change. SOLUTION: This method manufactures an organic electrolyte electrochemical battery which includes at least one electrochemical pair consisting of two electrodes surrounding the solid-film of porous polymer including electrolyte, whereas the respective electrodes involve a porous layer including an electrochemical active material and a binder. In this method, polymer is dissolved in solvent, its solution is applied onto a film-shaped supporting body, its film of the solution is impregnated with volatile non-solvent which is capable of mixing with the solution, the polymer is precipitated, and the polymer film is dried for elimination of the non-solvent. By compressing the pair which is impregnated with the electrolyte consisting of the polymer film which is put between the electrodes and brought into contact with the electrodes, and heating the pair at the temperature equal to or lower than fusion start temperature of the polymer film, imperfect fusion of the polymer is obtained, and the electrodes become impossible to separate after its cooling. |
