PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver that receives broadcast signal of a plurality of broadcast systems including a stereoscopic broadcast system. SOLUTION: A frame memory 3 stores pixel data outputted from a decode circuit 2. A discrimination circuit 4 receives the pixel data outputted from the decode circuit 2 and compares the pixel data in a specific area AR1 in a frame with the pixel data in a specific area AR2 respectively and discriminates whether or not received video data correspond to a stereoscopic broadcast system based on the result of comparison. An output signal format circuit 5 uses the pixel data stored in the frame memory 3 based on the result of discrimination to generate an output signal for displaying a video image on a monitor connected to a post stage. |
