PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To functionally execute CATV telephone communication while validly using the resource of a public telephone network. SOLUTION: When the public telephone network number of a customer station telephone set B is transmitted from a customer station telephone set A, this transmitted signal is applied to a set top box 1A, and it is confirmed whether of not this is a specific number, and when it is not, the transmitted signal is applied to a CATV telephone switchboard 3A This CATV telephone switchboard 3A retrieves a number conversion data base device 7 for converting the public telephone network number into a CATV subscriber's number, and when it is registered, the corresponding CATV subscriber's number is outputted from the CATV telephone switchboard 3A to a CATV repeating/network 5. The CATV repeating/network 5 selects a pertinent CATV network, and a call incoming to a CATV telephone switchboard 4 of the corresponding call incoming CATV station is operated. An incoming call to a set top box 2 of its own station subscriber corresponding to the station number of the incoming telephone number + the subscriber's number is operated by the CATV telephone switchboard 4, and an incoming call to the customer station telephone set B is operated form this. |
