PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the quality of dynamic picture from being deteriorated by constituting the arrangement of subfields being in one field so that subfields of other display periods are arranged in between the subfield of the shortest display period and the subfield of the second shortest display period. SOLUTION: Subfields being in one field are arranged in the order of b1, b3, b5, b7, b6, b4, b2 and b0. Then, the subfield are constituted to be a dispersion type subfield arrangement in which subfield b5 and b6 of display periods shorter than that of the highest order subfield (the subfield b7 of the longest display period) are arranged on both adjacent sides of the subfield b7 and the highest order subfield b7 is arranged roughly at the center of the field. In this subfield arrangement, in the case of change between b0 and b1 or the like at the changeover of field. Namely changes between subfield low in gray level, since it is the change in dark display level area, the remarkable degradation of picture quality is hardly caused even when a non-luminescent time is prolonged. |
