摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high capacity type lithium ion secondary battery excellent in charge/discharge characteristics by including a specific quantity of an inorganic oxide conductive material having a specific conductivity into an electrode mixture layer containing one or both of active substances of positive and negative electrodes. SOLUTION: A mixture layer of a positive electrode and/or a negative electrode includes 0.5-20wt.% of an inorganic oxide conductive material having a conductivity of 10-10<5> Scm<-1> . The conductive material is preferably one kind or more selected from tin dioxide, indium oxide and indium tin oxide. These metal oxides are excellent in electric conductivity, nonflammable, and chemically and electorchemically stable. Furthermore, since the metal oxide has a density higher than that of a carbon material and a lower volumetric occupancy in the form of a mixture layer, the mixture layer can be formed more thinly. The conductive material is preferably formed into a globular, fiber-like or whisker-like shape, and has a porous surface. Moreover, the conductive material is added with fluorine and/or antimony.
