PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly sensitive detection by using a reagent formed by combining more than one type of serotypes selected among serotype group B-complex and C-complex by a serological classification of Chlamydia.trachomatis. SOLUTION: A reagent is formed by combining serotypes selected one type from each group among serotype group B-complex, C-complex, and intermediates by a serological classification of Chlamydia-.trachomatis. The form of the reagent may be any of a purified elementary body(EB), an outer membrane protein, etc. This reagent with a concentration of preferably 0.5-2μg/ml is solidified on a polystyrene flat microplate. The suitably diluted serum of a patient is added to it to react at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined period of time to bond an anti-Chlamydia.trachomatis antibody to the reagent. Next, a labeled antibody is bought in to react, and finally the substrates of enzymes are added to measure the degree of color development, and the presence or absence of the antibody i.e., whether infected or not is measured.
