PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate time loss when setting various conditions by adjusting write light quantity so that maximum developing potentials which are substantially obtained become similar at the time of a copying operation mode and a print mode by means of external data. SOLUTION: A control system is constitued of plural sensors inputting/ outputting to/from a main control part 52 through an I/O interface part 56 and a peripheral control part. The control part 52 detects the surface potential of an image carrier by a potential sensor 13 and a reflection sensor 18 detects the reflection density of a developing toner image on the image carrier by a reference density patch. An image forming condition constituted of an optical write laser light intensity, the surface potential of the image carrier, maximum exposure potential and the grid bias of a toner band electric equipment at the time of forming the image at the time of starting is set to the various conditions for the copying operation mode, which are stored in ROM 54. At the time of the print mode by external data, a laser optical system control part 57 is controlled so that the maximum developing potentials become similar and write light intensity is set again. |
