PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress flicker at a low cost. SOLUTION: At first image data by one field are supplied to a frame memory for every display period (=tn -tn -1 ) of one field. For example, image data of an (n-1)-th field are read from the frame memory at a time tn-1 and an image corresponding to the image data is displayed on a left eye LCD(liquid crystal display) for a period from the time tn-1 to a time tn . On the other hand, an image corresponding to the image data of the same field is displayed on a right eye LCD for a period from a time t'n-1 elapsing a time by a half field from the time tn-1 to a time t'n . Thus the image of each field is sequentially displayed on the left eye LCD and the right eye LCD. Then the image detected by a right eye and the image detected by a left eye are visually synthesized by the user and recognized by the user. |
