PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can be changed to an economical copy mode and which has satisfactory operability by reading image data, storing it, generating an image based on stored data and automatically selecting paper size at the time of setting an economy mode for forming the image on one piece of paper based on image data on the prescribed number of originals. SOLUTION: At the time of reading the original, CPU 106 of a memory unit part 30 generates information of a management table while picture data is read from an input page memory 301, controls a compressor 302 and stores compressed image data in a code memory 303. At the time of printing, CPU 106 starts the code memory 303, an expander 304, a rotation unit 306 and an output page memory 305 and writes image data which is expansion-processed into the output page memory 305. Picture data is transferred to a printing processing part. When an economically copy desingation key is depressed and the saving copy mode different from information of the management table is set, paper size is calculated. |
